West Solent
Following the first round of consultation and the academic research commissioned by the Society we have concluded that the proposal for a Marine National Park is not viable. However the Society considers that there is an on-going need for overall management of the Western Solent given the wide range of users and potential threats to the environment. In view of this a second consultation paper is being prepared setting out possible alternative approaches.
